Hey there, I'm Leslie. As of now I currently studying game design at university. When I started with my first game I was self-taught. I strive to make quality projects and want to ensure that my games are the best they can be. I chose game design because I wanted to be a creative director. I love exploring different mediums of expression and desire to see ideas come to some tangible fruition. For this reason, I pursue game design as an avenue for creation.
I hope to make games that are unique and genre-expanding. Something anyone can get invested in. Games that affect you to the point where they inspire, make you think, and that hold a special place in your memories even after you watch the credits roll. I want to make games that are worth the time to play. The genres I’m most in favor of are resource management titles, story-based RPGs, mystery and adventure games, as well as games that facilitate creativity and self-expression.
I want to set a new standard for the game industry. I want to see it become something fantastic. I want games to have more meaning and ingenuity behind them. I want them to explore new and fascinating concepts that make the audience truly feel something while playing. I want every experience to be important. I have the vision of turning games into literature. The reason why some pieces of art are considered literature is that every single element of their creation was carefully placed and deeply thought through. I want to raise the standard so that more games are worthy of the literary classification.
This portfolio of my works through itch.io is a venue for me to demonstrate my capabilities as a game designer and my potential for creative directing. I will be submitting works from classes and my personal projects here for reference.
